Time to be a pro & Florida Poker....

My company bought out my personal services contract today and it was a nice buyout to say the least. It was a great company to work for but it wasn't meant to be. Plus being a 1099 contractor is killing me tax wise. So I figure its time to make the jump into the full-time professional poker world. The best part is if it doesn't happen I can always fall back on my career and still make bank. Poker has been very up and down lately but im still + $6K for the year.

I played poker at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa this weekend. Wow what a great place and poker room, but all you can play in FL is $1/$2 limit games, WTF? but they do have 1 table sit n go's running 24/7. I finished 2nd in a $120 1 table sit n go and cashed $300.

The next month will proboly be the most interesting in my life. I'll keep you posted

Cruising Baby...

+$2800 since my big win two weeks ago. I won $800 Sat & Sun, $200 today. My goal of winning at least $200 a day has been passed everyday so far. I'm sticking mainly to heads up matches between $200 to $1k buy ins. It's quick either way. It's nice to win a $200 match 30 mins after you wake up and not having to worry about playing for the rest of the day. What a life. I hope it just gets better from here on out, it's pretty good right now. Have a blessed day.

I think my part time job is about to become my full time job....

Being my part time poker job paid $11k in the last 30 days, I'm seriously considering making a living off my computer for a while. Life is treating me so good right now. I can't believe how great I'm playing and winning right now. It's almost too easy, it's kinda scary. Oh well, I'm on my way to the top of the poker world. Least you can say you knew me in the days before I made it big. lol. Hopefully I make that last statement correct soon. Here are my immediate goals for my poker career.

1. Make at least $6k per month from poker.
2. Play in the World Series in July.
3. Make the money in the WSOP
4. Make it to a TV final table this year.

Wish me luck, when I make it big I won't forget my friends. We will have some great parties and I'm not talking in Nashville either.

Playin poker with Michael Finley..

I was in Tunica at the Horseshoe last night, playing 10/20 limit holdem and Michael Finley of the San Antonio Spurs sat down at my table and played for about an hour. I finished the night +$450. At times I was down as much as $450, played for six hours so I'm happy with the profit. I'm + $600 since my $9k win on week ago. So life is treating me well. Hopefully I can make another big win this weekend. We'll see.

9 way chop!! lol The railbirds where in a tissy.

Coming up on 36 hrs with maybe 3 hrs of sleep. Kinda hard to sleep when you beat nearly 1600 players in a rebuy tournment and Win $9k. I had Pokerstars Western Union me $1k this morning. lol I cashed out $8k into my checking account. That way I won't be tempted to play the 100/200 game or play heads up for $5k and possibly loose it all back. I haven't played but one $50 heads up match which I lost on the second hand which I flopped two pair and got beat by a turn flush. I'm taking a break and enjoying my spoils for a while.

Yes my friends we had a nine way chop in the big $10 rebuy tourney. I was 2nd in chips with 2.2 million. My chop was $8500, we agreed to donate $200 for the winner of the table for a total of $1800 more for the winner. The railbirds went nuts. They couldn't believe all nine agreed to a deal. I had a great chop and was not bitching at all. Originally 9th paid only $953 and 1st paid $15k, 2nd $9100 so it was not a bad chop at all for me. If I had any less chips I would not of agreed to chop. So it got down to me heads up with my 2.4 million vs 6.4 million, after I busted him out of a quick million he offered me a deal on the $1800 ....8 for me 1k for him. It was five a.m. and that would put me up to 9K the biggest money winner..I took it. I busted him out 4 hands later but even after the first chop play was alot diffrent (looser)than before. Yes I guess I have no balls as the railbirds said, but I have $9k for it. Let me feel ...I still have balls.
